Abstract |
The Mongols attacked the Muslim World in the 17th century, and the conflict continued with the Muslims for more than 200 years, i.e. 617 – 803. Wars between the two sides were with alternate success. During such era, many Mongolian words and phrases became in use in the Arabic language. Such loanwords were used in literature and history books. In this paper, the researcher explores the Mongolian words mentioned in Mamluk literature and history books about Mamluks (648-803), explains their various meanings, refers to the text in which such words and phrases were used and how their pronunciation was changed, and proves the way they were written in Arabic sources which dealt with that era. |
